I have been in the IT industry for 36 years, half of which was in a technical role as a computer engineer, then management and sales in the bar coding and data capture industry, including wireless networks and radio frequency identification.

My sales challenges and goals:

Lead generation has always been a major challenge for me, even when cold calling was considered essential by most sales managers (and still is by many). Apart from the common rejection due to the intrusive nature of cold calling, it has always been an inefficient use of my time and yielded very little in the way of results.
