I've been looking into creating my own website - does anyone have a reccomendation? I have no experience with webistes so I'll need a host that has templates or programs that will help me build my own.

Permalink Reply by Patrysha Korchinski on May 21, 2008 at 9:51am: Depending on what exactly you need it for, you may find a Wordpress blog will meet your needs, hosted on your own domain and with a template that fits your business - they don't have to look bloggy at all and they have SEO advantages that static sites just don't have. There are some great templates available and even a custom template can be designed very inexpensively. That way you can concentrate on content and driving traffic instead of worrying about design and compatibility issues.; ▶ Reply to This

I am using Windows Office Live Small Business. It has a really simple tool for building a site as well as good reporting capabilities. You don't need to know any HTML and I set mine up in just a few minutes. You can check out my site at www.rainierbizgroup.com

If you don't know it, you will design it pretty, with minimal amount of leads being generated.
You should contact www.netage.co.za and ask what they can do for you.

In fact, NeverColdCall.com is a FrontPage template that I purchased for around $80 online and simply cut & pasted my content into it - FrontPage works the same as any other Microsoft Office application.

FrankRumbauskas.com is also a FrontPage template.

Someone mentioned Template Monster which is a good source, or you can just Google "frontpage templates."

As for web designers, my overall experience with them has been very negative, including a current project we're working on and on which the designers ripped us off and did almost no work for the high fees they charged us up front.; ▶ Reply to This
